I’m Braidon born in England, raised in New Zealand, and shaped by a lifelong passion for football that extends well beyond my professional experience. I place strong value on community, balance, and consistency. I am an OFC/NZF C License coach, a Level 4 qualified Strength and Conditioning coach, and have been a Rangers coach for the past six years.

From August 2018 to November 2019, I spent time in the United States where I was exposed to a high level football environment with world class training facilities. During this period, I played two full seasons at the collegiate level in Oregon and supported the Eugene Timbers, the local football club, within their junior development programmes. One of the key learnings from this experience was recognising the gap between New Zealand and the United States in physical development. While the overall technical quality of players was similar, there was a noticeable difference in physical capability, with U.S. players demonstrating higher levels of strength, speed, and athleticism. This gap was largely driven by the consistent integration of structured athletic and strength and conditioning programmes within their football systems.

My approach blends technical understanding with physical development, always with the goal of supporting players in a way that is sustainable, effective, and aligned with their long-term growth. Outside of coaching, I enjoy training in the gym, spending time at the beach, exploring new places, following the NBA, and spending quality time with friends and family all of which help me maintain perspective, energy, and balance in both life and coaching.
